The primary purpose of the Society is to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas for
horse rider biomechanics, researchers, coaches and teachers. They bridge the gap between researchers and practitioners, all over the world.
The society gathers and disseminates information and materials on things relating to the biomechanics. They provide educational resources where riders can gain officially recognized qualifications in the profession. Learn how to become a coach, become certified and host a clinic. If you are involved in Pony Club, Dressage, Eventing, Jumping, Western Trail and Pleasure, Polo, Vaulting or any speed sports you will benefit from becoming a coach.
This conference will have a diverse range of representatives; Key Note Speaker is Anneke Roodt – from the famous Lippizaners – Riding Dressage At Haute Ecole (Levade etc) level. Dr. Fernanda Carmargo from the University of KY will be giving an overview to see if a horse is OK for us to teach and ride. Letitia Glenn will cover Saddle Fitting for Horse AND Rider, Dr. Karen Hanks trained as a traditional chiropractor will discuss Pain in Horse and Rider, Jim Patterson will address the Biomechanics of the Brain ,also on hand is Kelly Sigler – Eventing RIDER of the YEAR and HORSE of the YEAR, Sgt. Lisa Rakes at the National Police Colloquium, Donna Woods of photonic light theraphy, Connie Jehlik of the United States Pony Clubs and Colleen Kelly, President of ISRB, will be on hand completing the tests and certifications.
